More children in Kalangala complete primary school with high grades



The number of children with sufficiently high grades to be entitled to state support for secondary schools is rapidly increasing in the fishing villages on Lake Victoria where the Icelandic International Development Agency (ICEIDA) is supporting education sector through local authorities. New statistics shows that 80% of children who completed the P7 in February passed the exams, but in 2005 the proportion was only 60%.
