Last phase of water project completed in Namibia

Final  phase of the water project for Ovahimba´s in northern Kunene Region in Namibia is complete. The project aimed to provide secure access by the nomadic tribe to safe water and train their communities to manage and maintain the  water points. In this final phase seven new water points were completed, with a capacity of  about 75,000 gallons of water per day. Four of the new water points are near schools. According to David Bjarnason Project Manager of ICEIDA some 350 school children and over 2000 people of the Ovahimba tribe have now easy access to clean water.
